Russian polyvinyl chloride (PVC) producer Kaustik Volgograd has taken a PVC unit offline for scheduled maintenance, market sources told SSESSMENTS.COM. The maintenance work at the 90,000 tons/year unit started on May 1 and will last for about three weeks. The sources added that fellow Russian producers SayanskKhimPlast and RusVinyl also intended to conduct maintenance shutdowns at their respective 350,000 ton/year and 330,000 tons/year PVC units in June-July.
