A Thai PVC producer informed SSESSMENTS.COM about the current situation for the domestic and export market amid the Coronavirus concern. According to the producer, this week, PVC export market is quiet, buyers in some export destination countries seem reluctant to restock PVC inventory amid the Coronavirus concern, especially in Malaysia, since the lockdown in the country has been started. Likewise, in the domestic market, limited activities recorded in line with the increasing of Coronavirus cases.
However, the producer is not quite sure of the demand condition in the domestic market as the company is no longer offering for March delivery and has not announced April delivery offers yet. The producer opined that the demand outlook is pessimistic even after the new offers announced as buyers are predicted to reduce buying quantity due to the limited market activities coupled with the depreciation of Thai Baht against US Dollar, as stated to SSESSMENTS.COM.
