As of May 18, a Chinese trader shared with SSESSMENTS.COM the updates on local PE and PP prices in the country. Compared to the price list received on Friday, May 15, local PE and PP prices were adjusted in different directions. Local offers for HDPE grades generally remained stable, except for HDPE Film 6097 dipped by CNY200/ton ($28/ton). In contrast, most offers for LDPE and LLDPE grades increased between CNY50-100/ton ($7-14/ton). For PP, offers for PP Homo Fiber were adjusted up by CNY100/ton ($14/ton). Meanwhile, offers for PP Homo Raffia Z30S and most grades of PP Homo Injection and PP Random Copolymer decreased between CNY100-300/ton ($14-42/ton), while offers for other PP grades remained unchanged.
