Sahara International Petrochemical Company (Sipchem) has restarted a propane dehydrogenation (PDH) unit of its Al-Waha subsidiary after a planned turnaround, market sources informed SSESSMENTS.COM. The restarting activity began on April 1, the sources added. The unit was put offline on March 3 due to unplanned maintenance, but the producer decided to combine it with a scheduled turnaround to improve the plant’s reliability. Al-Waha’s complex can produce up to 467,000 tons of propylene and 450,000 tons of polypropylene annually.
