A South Korean prime PVC exporter told SSESSMENTS.COM that the company faced order cancelations for April shipment in the India market last week. The producer further explained that April shipment sales have been slow due to the depreciation of Indian Rupee against US Dollars, big discounts and price protection from local producers, as well as concern of weak end-products demand as the impact of Coronavirus outbreak.
The producer mentioned that Indian people are urged to work from home until March 31, but the lockdown might be extended to April. Currently, downstream factories in India halt production activities. For offers in this week, the producer maintains stable levels compared to last week. “It is meaningless to make price revisions at the moment as there are no buyers,” the producer said to SSESSMENTS.COM’s team.
