SSESSMENTS.COM noted that a Thai PE producer adjusted prices to China twice within a day. In the morning April 27, the producer source revealed on adjusting up offers for HDPE Film to China as much as $30/ton compared to last week. The upward adjustment made was triggered by the stronger futures prices as well as limited supply on the producers’ end. However, in the afternoon, the producer made a downward correction by $10/ton compared to offer given in the morning, since the response from buyers towards the first offers was not that positive. The latest offers for HDPE Film from the producer stand at $800/ton on LC at sight, CIF China main port basis. At the time of publication, the producer has managed to sell 1,100 tons of HDPE Film at $800/ton on the same payment and delivery terms.
