A source of a Thai PE producer informed SSESSMENTS.COM that the company has amended localized offers to the Indonesia market and expressed sell idea for the upcoming import offers. As reported, the latest offers from the producer’s end in Rupiah denomination trimmed between IDR200,000-300,000/ton ($14-21/ton) for HDPE Film as well as LLDPE Film C4, and by IDR300,000/ton ($21/ton) for LDPE Film. All compared to last week’s level. Particularly for LDPE Film, the producer addressed that the reason behind the downward adjustment is the presence of sales pressure. At the time of publication, the producer has yet to assess feedback from their customers due to public holiday in Thailand.
Owing to the holiday as well, the producer has yet to release the offers in US Dollar denomination. At the moment, the producer could only express their sell idea at $10-20/ton lower than last week's level for all PE grades. The producer will return to their desk on July 29 and will likely release the offers on CIF basis, further added to SSESSMENTS.COM.
