A Thai PE producer has announced the latest offers to China market, SSESSMENTS.COM was told. As reported, this week the producer decided to increase offers for HDPE Film by $20/ton compared to last week. The current offer stands at $800/ton. For HDPE Yarn, the producer’s offer is at $780-790/ton. All offers are on LC at sight, CIF China Main Port basis.
Meanwhile, offers for LDPE Film remain stable as compared to the same period, currently available at $810-830/ton on LC at sight, CIF China Main Port basis, SSESSMENTS.COM noted. This week, the producer has an offer for mLLDPE C6, available at $890/ton on the same payment and delivery term. For LLDPE Film C4, the producer adjusted up offers by $30/ton from last week's deal level. According to the producer, the hikes are primarily due to increment on the Dalian futures market as well as limited supply from the company’s end.
However, the producer source told SSESSMENTS.COM that as of April 28, China market is quieter than Monday, citing the collapse of crude oil prices last night may be the reason. Just a day earlier, the producer announced HDPE Film offers at $810/ton, up by $30/ton from a week ago and on the same day, the producer revised the offers to $800/ton, all on LC at sight, CIF China main ports basis. In spite of cold response from customers, the producer still proceeds with an upward price adjustment to China on April 28.
