A source from a Thai PE producer informed SSESSMENTS.COM that the company has managed to sell out all HDPE Film allocation to China although the market remains quiet. Deals for HDPE Film cargoes were concluded at $810/ton on LC at sight, CIF China Main Port basis. The source further explained that all the producer’s HDPE Film allocation to China has been successfully sold, yet not because of the good demand. As revealed, supply for the particular grade from the producer’s end is very limited.
Besides HDPE Film, the producer also managed to sell some volume of mLLDPE C6 to the China market on Tuesday. As told to SSESSMENTS.COM, the current offers for mLLDPE C6 from the producer are available at $920/ton on LC at sight, CIF China Main Port basis, or $20/ton higher than Tuesday’s level. Previously, on Tuesday, the producer made a significant downward adjustment on mLLDPE C6 offers by $115/ton as compared to the offers announced on Monday. For LLDPE Film C4, the offers currently stand at $790/ton, but the sales are not as good as HDPE Film grades. Overall, the China market remains slow this week, the source commented.
