As stated to SSESSMENTS.COM, a Thailand-based trader revealed that the deals for Middle Eastern PE cargoes were concluded with a wide gap from the initial offer levels. As reported, deals for Middle Eastern HDPE Film cargoes concluded at $40/ton lower than the initial offer, at $710/ton on LC at sight, CIF Thailand main port basis. While for LLDPE Film C4, the trader managed to purchase the cargoes at $50/ton lower than the initial offer level, at $770/ton with the same payment and delivery term. Initially, the producer was firm on the deal levels, but eventually, the producer is willing to sell between $40-50/ton lower from initial offers.
