A Chinese trader revealed to SSESSMENTS.COM the updates on local PE and PP prices in the country as of May 8. Compared to the price list received on Wednesday, May 6, local PE and PP prices moved in different directions. Local offers for HDPE grades were generally stable, except for HDPE Cable 100S, HDPE Injection 7260, and HDPE Pipe (PE 100) increased between CNY100-300/ton ($14-42/ton). Meanwhile, offers for LDPE across all grades increased by CNY50/ton ($7/ton). In contrast, offers for LLDPE grades went down by CNY100/ton ($14/ton). For PP, most offers for PP Homo Raffia grades went up by CNY100/ton ($14/ton), except for grade Z30S dropped by CNY600/ton ($56/ton). Likewise, offers for PP Homo Fiber dipped by CNY800/ton ($112/ton), while offers for other PP grades remain unchanged.
