Local PET prices in China captured nearing a new threshold, while the export offers have broken to a new low. Based on data gathered by SSESSMENTS.COM’s team, local offers for PET Bottle from the producer went down by CNY100/ton ($14/ton) compared to last week. Currently, the offers for PET Bottle stand between CNY5,300-5,400/ton ($746-760/ton) on cash, EXW China basis and including 13% VAT.
While to the export market, SSESSMENTS.COM noted that the offers already hit below $700/ton-level on the low-end of the price range. The export offers for PET Bottle from the producer are available between $695-715/ton on LC at sight, FOB China basis, a decrease of between $15-25/ton from last week. Moreover, the producer is willing to sell between $5-10/ton lower than the initial offer level.
