Market sources informed SSESSMENTS.COM that Japan’s Mitsui Chemicals has restarted its naphtha cracker following turnaround maintenance. As noted, the naphtha cracker with a production capacity of 500,000 tons/year of ethylene and 280,000 tons/year of propylene resumed production on July 19, 2020. Previously, the cracker located in Osaka, Japan, was shut for maintenance work on June 11, 2020.
