As contacted by SSESSMENTS.COM, a global trading house dropped hints on upcoming pricing strategy for US LLDPE Film C4 cargoes. As some US producers have yet to announce fresh offers to the Indonesia market this week, the trader foresees that most producers will not be selling cargoes at lower prices or a similar level in the previous week, citing rising natural gas and ethane prices. “Last week, most producers are offering at cheaper prices. However, as the soaring natural gas and ethane prices led to higher production cost, we believe that producers will offer LLDPE Film C4 grades at a higher price, at $750/ton on LC at sight, CIF Indonesia Main Port basis,” the trader said.
In the previous week, the trader offered US LLDPE Film C4 cargoes at $710/ton with the same payment and delivery terms. However, the trader failed to finalize deals as most buyers were placing bids for below $700/ton-level. As for LDPE Film, the trader is offering Middle Eastern origin cargoes at $840/ton for small quantity purchases. All offers are on LC at sight, CIF Indonesia Main Port basis.
