A Thai trader reported to SSESSMENTS.COM that local offers for PE and PP cargoes were adjusted contrastingly amid the lethargic market. Compared to last Wednesday’s levels, local offers for PE cargoes across all grades from a Thai producer captured higher by THB1,000/ton ($32/ton) for HDPE Film and LLDPE Film C4 grades. While for LDPE Film, the offers increased by THB500/ton ($16/ton) compared to the same period. Yet, buyers are unmoved; remain unwilling to purchase some volumes.
While for PP, the offers for PP Homo Film are available at THB35,000/ton ($1,105/ton) on cash, FD Thailand basis, and excluding 7% VAT, which is stable compared to last Wednesday’s level. Whereas compared to last Tuesday’s level, the current offers are THB1,000/ton ($32/ton) lower. The trader explained further to SSESSMENTS.COM that Thailand market is generally quiet for this week as demand is yet to pick up. The trader also opined that Southeast Asian market players seem to prefer monitoring the market movement at the moment as some sellers have started to adjust down offers.
